The answer to this question depends on how you use the system. Investors who are exclusively focussed on fundamentals will have that impression. Things look completely different for an investor of a technical orientation, who already acts mainly on the basis of technical analyses. Fundamentally, NeuroStrategy "merely" executes in an automated way all those tasks, which a technical analyst normally carries out "manually" in a very time-consuming manner. In performing these tasks, NeuroStrategy covers all areas from analysis to strategy development and backtesting, which normally require the use of several systems.
In the process of learning and evolution, NeuroStrategy generates, analyzes and tests a risk-optimized trading strategy on the basis of the information extracted from the technical analysis. From a mathematical point of view, this process is nothing but the establishment of an optimal parametrization of technical indicators as well as the analysis of their interactions. With sufficient effort, it would thus be possible to map the developed strategy in a fuzzy expert system with the help of ordinary indicator descriptions as they are used in technical analysis.
