Strategic Trading

NeuroStrategy is a tool for professional investors such as brokers and fund managers at banks and insurance companies. The software analyzes the historical time series of stocks, currencies and index certificates and automatically develops strategies on the basis of these analyses for trading with the relevant instrument. In its analysis, the software seeks to recognize and isolate characteristic features of the particular instrument under investigation. It learns to assess risks, to recognize trends and dangerous situations at an early stage and to convert these findings into strategic recommendations.

NeuroStrategy automates all complex tasks - from data procurement and technical analysis to the development of a low-risk trading system.

The goal is to develop a strategy that distributes an investment volume daily between a risk-free asset and the instrument under investigation, in order to achieve a continuous increase in the value of the investment at minimal risk. The system tests the strategy on recent historical data that has not been learned and submits it to extensive statistical analyses.

A large number of graphical representations assist the user in making an assessment. In productive operation, the system then makes its strategic recommendations for the positioning daily and in real time. These can be used as a direct trading recommendation, as a weighting indicator in portfolio management or as a supporting instrument of analysis.

Technology

NeuroStrategy uses algorithms from data mining as well as fractal, spectral and time series analysis in order to extract as much relevant information as possible from the historical time series. The information thus gathered is used to train software components capable of learning for employment in the solution of the given problem. The process of strategy formation follows evolutionary principles such as cooperation and specialization, adaptation and selection.

Although the approach is highly complex, the use of NeuroStrategy does not require expert knowledge in the areas of data and chart analysis. The user merely defines characteristics of the desired strategy such as the return of a risk-free investment, the acceptable level of risk as well as the available actions (long/short/out) and applicable transaction fees.

The software obtains the historical and intraday data of the financial markets from recognized providers such as Datastream in order to ensure that the data is up to date and of high quality and consistency. The data feeds are established through Internet connections and use the HTTP protocol, while taking your security facilities such as proxy servers and firewalls into account.
